Weekly Favorite: Armor Dying & Trophies.

This Weekly Favorite is short but sweet:

Armor dying and trophies.

I never liked how WoW still has not added at least armor dying to the game.  If I had ever gotten a complete gear set, I'd look exactly like the other Priest in the raid.  I'm very much into looking how I want to look.  WAR has many dying options and trophies to establish your character as YOU and not the same as everyone else. This makes me all warm inside.

Bootae has a great post about his Chosen and how he loves that not everyone has to look exactly the same in end game gear.  Dont over at Blame the Healer has a post about the new Welcome Back quests and the trophies you get as rewards.  I'll definitely have to go grab those items.

As with many others, RL has been extremely active this week and I apologize for not updating as often I should be.  I hope to be posting regularly soon.

Weekly Favorite: Libram of Insight & Adventurer’s Handbook.

So much for getting my new weekly post out well, weekly.  Stupid flu.

I'll just have to post this weeks early:

The Librams of Insight

Adventurer's Handbook

These little beauties have just about pushed me to rank 40 which I'm hoping to reach this week.  With two charges left I'm sure I can accomplish that.  I've been holding them for the final climb to max rank.  I'll also be able to use these on any character I create from here on out.  /cheer

The first (Libram) was for buying the Collector's Edition and the second (Handbook) was for purchasing the Atlas/Prima Guide.  I'm not yet sure if I'll be able to get a second Handbook since both the Atlas and the Guide come with a code for the same item.  If anyone knows, please comment.  Otherwise I'll post again when I find out.

Weekly Favorite: Rarity.

So in order to create some organization to my posts, I thought I'd take a day to advocate anything I come across that I enjoy.  Be it an addon, zone, person, activity, etc.

For my first favorite:

Rarity

This addon creates a colored border around icons so you can see at a glance the value of items.  White, green, blue, purple, gold.  This works for the following options:

  • Backpack Icon View (1.0)
  • Character Screen (1.2)
  • Quest Rewards (1.2)
  • Influence Rewards (1.3)
  • Bank (1.4)
  • Guild Vault (1.4)
  • Trade (1.4)
  • Auction (1.4)
  • Merchant (1.4)
  • Mail (1.4)
  • Backpack List View (1.4)
  • Player Inspection (1.8)
  • CharactersViewer (1.8)
  • ClosetGoblin (1.8)
  • Loot/Roll Windows (1.10)
  • ItemRack (1.10)
  • zMailMod (1.10)
  • nLootLink (1.10)

I never knew how important this addon was to me until I decided to go with the default UI on the PTS.  I remembered after the second or so trip to the merchant that this feature was not WAR implemented.  I wonder how many good items I vendored?  Good thing it was just on the PTS.

This is definitely a must have addon.  It'll make your life so much easier.

My Favs.

Before I jump into WAR I thought I'd put up my Seven Favorites as so many others have already done.  That's what I get for staying up late and sleeping half the day away.

Favorite zone: I've concentrated on sticking to one pairing while I'm leveling and since my Archmage is the highest and has seen more of the world I'd have to say Dragonwake.  All the high elevations you can get to just show off the beautiful views.

Favorite race: Dark Elves.  Hands down.  They have all the grace and appeal of a High Elf but awesome looking armor.  I think I'd feel even more awesome than I do on my Archmage.

Favorite career: Archmage.  Even trying out all the healing classes (on both sides), I love playing my Archmage.

Favorite WAR feature: Easter eggs with the ToK being a very close second.  Stumbling across something clickable that gives you XP, lore, and excitement ... who wouldn't love that?!

Favorite skill: Hurried Restore .  I love my instant rez.

Favorite scenario: Just recently it's become Battle for Praag.  I played this scenario for the first time yesterday and win or lose it was extremely thrilling.

Favorite live event: Night of Murder.  I enjoyed being able to complete most of these at my leisure and in just a few places.  Not only that, but I was actually able to hit that elite reward without having to stress and work to get there.  I'm here for fun, and that's what Night of Murder delivered.

Favorites of others:
