Healer at Heart A healer's thoughts on MMO's.

Happy holidays!

Just a quick post before the Christmas mayhem begins in full force.

My Cleric just hit level 38 (with no new gear to show for it) as well as a couple of my alts reaching new levels.

As much as I love my Ranger I think I've found the class I love almost as much as my Cleric, if not more: the Chanter.  The skills, the buffs, the graphics, and the healing!  What could be better?  And yes, this character is an Asmodian ...

Altitis has struck again.

My guild/alliance seems dead when I finally get to log in and with scenarios not popping or exciting oRvR happening, I've become bored.  It's no fun not having people to play with.  I don't even want to play my alts on that server (Vortex) being as it feels like a very lonely grind.

So with my Archmage sitting at RR 31 and not moving, I've decided to try out a different server: Phoenix Throne.

I've created a Runepriest (Kaeleer), already rank 5 and made a friend.  I was able to complete and enjoy the Ch. 2 PQ and gave a good shot at completing the Ch 1. PQ, as well as max out both influence bars.  On the second go-round of the Ch. 2 PQ I received a gold bag and with it chose the chest piece which gave me an unlock in my ToK.  A great start to hopefully a long and exciting journey into RP.

This will be my first real attempt at role playing.  I'm not a very good "on the spot" thinker so we'll see how well I do.  But I've always loved coming up with the background of a character and have many of those lying about (though mainly for WoW).  I've got the basic idea of where I'd like to go with Kaeleer but have yet to work on my background.  That's what I usually use my 45 minute drive home for.  I should have a basic background by tonight.

I'm hoping my Archmage doesn't get dusty since I seem to have a later play time than most on my server.  With WAR being dependant on population, it looks like Delaunay will have sit on the back burner until Land of the Dead releases.  Which, by the way, looks freakin' amazing.

What I’ve been up to.

I haven't been posting as often as I'd like and that's partly due to not playing WAR at all since the Live Event ended (Beyond the Sands).  A few factors have gone into this:

1) Ever since I burnt out on WoW I play whenever I get the fancy (which isn't very often).

2) It seems that I'm playing on an Eastern time zone server.  By the time I want to log on it's usually 9:00pm and there's hardly anything going on.  Maybe one person in my guild and no scenarios are popping.  Because of this, whenever it's late I'll sign into WoW instead, where I know I can at least quest to level up since I'm not max level.  (Does anyone know how to tell what kind of server your on?  Or is there no difference?)

3) Haven't been in the mood to play my alts.  Not a good sign.

I've also hit up Free Realms, The Chronicles of Spellborn, and as I mentioned WoW.  I resubscribed.  I miss my friends.  Though I've been playing more on a different server (Horde) to follow a friend who got fed up with my Alliance server.

So all in all, it's not WAR and I am by no means quiting.  But if you've wondered why I've been quiet, now you know.  Hopefully I'll get in some good WAR action this week.  *crosses fingers I don't have anything planned*
