Over the holidays I took advantage of the Origin sales and bought a few expansions for The Sims 3. I’ve owned the original game since release and have started and restarted a few families. As much as I liked it I found myself bored more often than not. Mostly I think it was because of the lack of choices for either furniture or Create-A-Sim customization. I purchased Generations, Seasons, and Late Night. Now, I’m having a blast!
I’ve been hearing a lot about a legacy challenge and thought it sounded kind of fun. Hearing about it and actually reading all the details are not the same thing. Apparently there are rules for this challenge which I did not read about until after starting my family. So I’ve decided to just play through ‘almost’ following the rules.
The Legacy is supposed to be this:
The Legacy Challenge is a long, 10-generation challenge where you start out with a single founder and very humble beginnings and try to lead the family to fame, fortune and success over the course of 10 generations.
I started with a bit more than ‘humble beginnings’ but I did start with just one founder and I haven’t used any cheats. I now have a husband and 3 children and have since moved to a new house or two.
