Interim.
It seems I've got some time to kill before the release of Aion. I tried out Champions Online but couldn't get into the game. Though I did enjoy the character creation.
So with that I've decided to jump back into World of Warcraft. I haven't played since before Wrath of the Lich King (unless I count the couple hours I played after the expansion came out and then cancelled) and can't wait to see the new zones. I know that all the talk of the next expansion, Cataclysm, got me thinking of playing again. We'll see if I can stick with it this time or if I'll cancel (again) once Aion releases. It'll be nice to get back with some of my friends who haven't yet ventured away.
Aion Podcasts Galore!
I've recently found some great Aion podcasts I wanted to share with you.
The Abyss podcast: One of my favorites and if I'm not mistaken the first Aion (unofficial) podcast. Hosted by a husband and wife team where Tony comes from a lengthy gaming background and Lori is a brand new gamer. They've just shared with their listeners that they'll be playing Asmodian at launch and why. I especially enjoy the music break they put in to each episode and love that they have a section dedicated to "clean up" or correcting themselves when information they've shared has either been confirmed, changed, or was just wrong (not that the last happens often if at all).
Aion's World podcast: This is another one of my favorites, hosted by Arithion and Desikis. Two friends intent on PvP and killing any and all Elyos. They are full of helpful information and a delight to listen to.
Two other podcasts I've started to listen to are Aion's Wrath and Aion Podcast.

Champions Online OB Woes.
It is now 12:18 am and I've been trying, unsuccessfully, to get into the Champions Online open beta that started at 10:00am today (or rather yesterday I suppose).
Less than 100 mb to go on the patcher ...
The Fileplanet pre-load was a bit of a joke (since I had no issues with that download speed the three times I had to re download it). I've uninstalled and reinstalled 4 times. The first 3 times trying to patch ~3 gigs and the last time only about 900 kb.
Today was very, very, frustrating. Not to mention long.
Let's hope I can stay awake long enough to at least make a character.
