Double Plus Good.
It's late in the day and I've read piles on piles of information from many sources about all that Mythic is giving us in the future. All I have to say is ...
RAWR!
I applaud Mythic for providing me an excellent game to play and a great atmosphere to make a great many new friends. I can't stress enough that all the effort put into this world definitely shows. And the cherry on top with the Valentine's sent to bloggers was just the right topper. I get all tingly just thinking that maybe one day I'll grow up and become one of the famous blogs that gets little surprises like that. Oh the anticipation.
I appreciate all the hard work and can't wait to see what's in store for us with this new Live Expansion pack and beyond.
Cheers.
The Dark Side.
Well, I've gone and done it. I've created my first Destruction character since WAR went live (I messed with the healing classes in beta to get a feel for what I wanted to roll). Meet Sliph the Shaman. I figured it would be wise to test both sides of my main healing class. Archmage vs. Shaman. That's how it started out anyways. Within the first 30 minutes, I was hooked.
The reason it took me so long to create a Destruction player was because of two reasons. 1) I already had a gazillion alts and 2) gender restrictions. I prefer playing female characters. Always have. With all the Greenskin classes being purely male, I had no desire to play Destruction. There was the Zealot but that possible end game beak of a head piece was not appealing. The DoK mechanic wasn't what I had in mind either. So that left the Shaman. And boy am I glad I did.
Of course, it also helped that I've been home sick for the last 2 and 1/2 days. What better to spend my time with than make a new character for the better of my blog?!
A wail of a time.
Well, another rank down. I'm now rank 36. I could have down without all the bugged quests/items/NPC's though. First of the night was the disappearing acts of a couple NPC's. Talking with a CSR told me that a certain quest item was bugged and every time I talked to certain NPC's I was killing them. Talk about overpowered! I had to abandon the quest and try it again. Success!
The second problem I had was with the quest Champion of Ulthuan. When you accept the quest the NPC Zarek Thrandor spawns and tries to kill you. He's a rank 38 champion. An ally NPC will come and help you. As long as I didn't pull aggro (and wearing my PvP gear) I survived. Upon his death the quest should have completed. This game must be testing my patience. Not only did I not get a complete but Zarek respawned and owned my face. I've tried 3 times now and each time is the same. I just can't go two bouts with a champion and live. Needless to say, that quest is staying abandoned.
A couple days ago the quest Vaul's Legacy made me throw my hands up in frustration. I clear my way through loads of Dark Elves, click on the item, and promptly die. Why? A named NPC along with two others spawn once you accept the quest. I can barely handle three at a time. A healer just isn't meant to take that kind of beating. A few seconds later, two more assassins spawn, and they just kept coming. I died in about five seconds. Not my idea of fun. Tried a couple times and gave up on that one too.
Not to make this post completely dull with complaints, only four more ranks until 40! I'm thinking I can start hitting up the scenarios again now that I'm a bit higher level. I never thought I'd hear myself say this but I miss the PvP action! Destruction watch out, I'm gonna heal you guys to death! Rawr.
Go, go, go!
I hit rank 35 tonight. Got my Rank 4 Morale ability along with a couple other abilities.
Only 5 more levels to go!
I've been working on a new look for the site. Something a bit more near what I do (in game that is). Once it's up I'll post a bit more. I've just been a bit sidetracked the last couple days being it's my birthday week. Yay!
Man without a face.
Or rather, Dark Elves without heads or faces. Disturbing, I know. These Elves were seriously having a bad day. The first I encountered, and the second. It seems those two respawned that way as well. I'll have to check them out today and if they're still trying to be invisible I'll have to let someone important know. It's just not pretty.
With only 9% left in the level, I quickly reached rank 34. Yay, go me! I'm about halfway through to 35 and hope to hit that in the next couple days. A bit lame there wasn't a single ability to learn. Boo! Hiss! But I suppose a silencing ability at rank 35 (Law of Gold) will make up for it.
I think I'm going to take my Shadow Warrior and really get into the lore. I really should be reading the quest text and actually paying attention to what I'm doing. I tend to run through quests because I get in a groove and it's like I'm wearing blinders. It's time to take a step back and really dive into the story. From the little I've read throughout my leveling it looks to be great. I'm a sucker for a good storyline.
